Contents and search
Choose Contents to browse chapters and jump to a passage.
Click or tap the Search button or press Mod+F to search the book; enter at least three characters.
Alt+Page Up / Alt+Page Down jumps to the previous / next section.
Mod means Command on Mac or Control elsewhere; Alt is Option on Mac. See all keyboard shortcuts.
Go to a page or percentage
- Mod+G: go to a page.
- Mod+Shift+G: go to a percentage.
Available in paginated reflowable books once page counts are ready. Page numbers change with text size and layout.
Move along the progress bar
Click or drag the progress bar to move through a paginated book. While dragging, a preview shows where you’ll land.
- Bookmark flags beneath the bar jump to saved places. A flag with a number groups nearby bookmarks; choose it to pick a destination.
- Chapter bands and landmarks help you spot sections and the book’s main text. See Progress landmarks.
Hide bands and landmarks through Ambra settings → Reading preferences → Progress landmarks without hiding your bookmarks.
Tip: use your browser’s Back button to return to your previous reading location after a jump. Forward takes you there again.
